Our conveyors can optionally be executed in food-grade quality and designed in line with recognized hygienic standards. Where required, we deliver fully enclosed, dust-tight systems as well as oil- and gas-tight designs that support safe operation, product integrity, and regulatory compliance.
Material selection is tailored to the application. Depending on product characteristics and operating conditions, wear- and corrosion-resistant stainless steels can be specified, along with alternative material concepts proven in continuous industrial service. Surface finishes such as hot-dip galvanizing or industrial coating systems in RAL colors are implemented to suit environmental exposure and plant standards.
Beyond the core conveying function, our systems are engineered for integration. By adapting materials, geometries, and surfaces, we seamlessly incorporate features such as inspection and cleanout openings, quick-access covers, insulation provisions, sight glasses, and interfaces for sensors and monitoring systems. The result is a transport solution that fits your plant, supports efficient operation, and delivers dependable performance over its entire service life.

Design parameters such as bulk density, abrasiveness, temperature, moisture content, and material behavior are systematically taken into account.
We design and supply conveyors for a wide range of bulk materials, including:
- oilseeds such as sunflower seeds, soybeans, and rapeseed
- flakes, press cake, meals, and powders
- grains and grain derivatives including corn, wheat, bran, and starch products
- pellets and process by-products
- lignin, fertilizers, and other demanding bulk solids
By selecting the appropriate conveyor type, speed, materials of construction, and wear protection, we deliver robust, low-maintenance conveying solutions that meet the requirements of high-capacity, 24/7 operating plants.
Reliable and Low-Maintenance
Our conveyors are engineered for reliable operation and low maintenance, supporting stable processes in 24/7 operating plants over many years. A service-oriented design, clear access to critical components, and the long-term availability of spare parts make our conveying solutions a sound and sustainable investment.
Based on decades of practical experience in maintenance and reliability, our systems meet high standards in mechanical integrity and serviceability. Individual components are designed for efficient replacement, and we continue to support our customers long after commissioning with spare parts and component replacements as required.
State-of-the-Art
Engineering & Manufacturing
Advanced engineering methods and modern manufacturing technologies form the basis for efficient development and cost-effective production. From the initial concept to final fabrication, our processes are designed for precision, consistency, and predictable project execution.
The use of modern CAD, FEM, and DEM tools allows us to design conveyors precisely to application requirements and to implement special solutions, such as optimized routing in confined spaces. Manufacturing is carried out in a modern production facility, ensuring accurate fabrication and a high level of fit – providing the foundation for smooth installation and reliable commissioning.
Cost-Optimized Conveyors
Our conveyors are engineered with a clear focus on cost efficiency—without compromising reliability, performance, or quality. Design concepts and technical details are carefully developed to enable economical fabrication, efficient assembly, and predictable project execution.
ILCHMANN Fördertechnik builds on decades of development experience, during which our conveyor designs have been continuously refined and improved. Today, they are established benchmarks and form part of recognized best-practice standards in oilseed processing plants.
Optional Features
ILCHMANN conveyors can be designed to integrate process functions directly into the conveying equipment, helping to save valuable space within the plant layout and reduce the number of separate machines.
In addition to pure conveying tasks, optional features such as mixing screws, cooling sections, or cake breakers can be integrated into the conveyor design, creating compact, efficient solutions custom-made for specific process requirements.

Product Portfolio – Conveying Technology from a Single Source
ILCHMANN covers a wide range of bulk material conveying technology and delivers solutions ranging from individual machines to complete conveying lines:
Drag Chain conveyors (TKF)
Enclosed, robust conveyors for horizontal and slightly inclined routes. Designed for 24/7 operating plants, high capacities, and ATEX applications, with low maintenance requirements.
Screw conveyors (TSF / RSF)
Trough and tubular screw conveyors for a wide range of bulk materials, in horizontal or inclined arrangements, from fine powders to press cake.
Bucket elevators (GBW / KBW)
Proven solutions for efficient vertical conveying at high capacities. Belt and chain bucket elevators for large conveying heights, elevated temperatures, and high mechanical loads.
Hygienic chain conveyors
Conveyors for applications with increased hygiene requirements, such as in the food and feed industries, featuring cleanable designs, suitable materials, and optimized sealing concepts.
Additional conveying solutions
In addition to the core portfolio, ILCHMANN delivers custom-made special solutions such as sidewall belt conveyors, pocket belt systems, flat slide gates, diverter valves, and further components for continuous conveying routes.
Focus: Oilseed Processing Industry
A key focus of ILCHMANN lies in the oilseed processing industry. Customers include international major operators such as ADM, Bunge, Cargill, and Louis Dreyfus, where ILCHMANN is partly listed as a preferred supplier.
The conveying equipment covers all process steps within an oil mill – from raw material intake and pre-cleaning, silo feeding, and internal transport to conveying through thermally loaded zones downstream of presses, expanders, and conditioners, as well as ATEX-compliant conveying solutions and the discharge and loading of meals, press cake, and pellets.
This specialization provides ILCHMANN with a detailed understanding of product characteristics, wear mechanisms, explosion protection requirements, and real operating conditions.
Conveyed Materials
ILCHMANN conveyors are used for a wide range of bulk materials, including:
Agricultural and food products such as corn, wheat, bran, flakes, and starch products
Oilseed and feed products such as press cake, meals, pellets, and by-products
Chemical and industrial bulk solids such as lignin, fertilizers, powders, and granulated materials
Differences in bulk density, abrasiveness, fat content, dust generation, and material behavior are consistently considered in conveyor sizing, material selection, conveying speed, and wear protection.
Quality, Engineering, and Technology
All conveyors are engineered in Germany and manufactured by selected, certified production partners.
Typical quality features include:
Food-grade executions and hygienic design
Dust-tight, oil-tight, and gas-tight constructions
Wear- and corrosion-resistant materials
Hot-dip galvanizing or industrial coating systems in standard RAL colors
Inspection and clean-out openings, insulation supports, and sight glasses
